Growing local tourism
A Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) is formed when a group of local businesses get together and invest collectively to support the growth and development of their area’s tourism industry. TBID’s exist to give businesses a voice and financial stake in the future direction of tourism in their area.
Funding for TBIDs
Business Improvement Districts Scotland offer up to £20,000 to help set up TBIDs across Scotland as well as specialist advice and guidance on how to do so. They’ll also work in close collaboration with the businesses involved during the development process and when the TBID is operating if required.
