What you need to know

The National Events Funding Programme is designed to support the development and growth of events attracting significant visitation from outwith the local authority area they are held in. The key objective is to drive domestic tourism and showcase regions around Scotland, supporting events taking place outside Edinburgh and Glasgow.

How to apply

    Read the guidelines

    Read the National Events Programme application guidelines, paying particular attention to the fund’s objectives, eligibility and evaluation criteria.

    Request an application form from an Event Manager

    Contact our EventScotland team on 0131 472 2313 to discuss your event proposal and funding request with an Event Manager well in advance of the application deadline. Our Event Manager will be available throughout the application period for advice and guidance.

    Submit your application by deadline date

    An electronic submission of the completed application form and any supporting documents must be sent by email to information@eventscotland.org on or before the funding round deadline date.

    Following the deadline for applications to be submitted, each applicant will receive an email acknowledging receipt of their application.

  4. 4

    Decision

    The application will be assessed, and a decision made on the level of funding support if successful. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by letter within eight weeks of the funding round deadline date.
