What it means to take part

By signing up to the panel, you are noting your interest in taking part in research studies that will shape the way VisitScotland do things. We will use the data you provide us in the registration form to send you research studies that are relevant to you.

Each study will take no longer than 15 minutes of your time. There is no pressure to take part if you don't have the time or energy - just do what you can, when you can.

  • Influence real change

Being part of the user panel means that you get to influence real change across our website. As a panellist you’ll get to see what content we're working on before anyone else, feeding back on how this should work for your needs.

  • Short surveys

Our studies are purposely short, as we want to take up as little of your time as possible. They will be designed to never take you longer than 15 minutes, but most will be quicker than this.

  • We won't spam you

We will only send you studies that are relevant to you. This could be up to six times in the year. There is no obligation to take part in all studies we send - participate as and when you can.

  • Your data and privacy are safe

The studies will always be anonymous. We will not ask you for any identifiable personal information, and you are not identifiable from any recordings gathered or your answer to questions.

Any recordings from the session or your answers to questions will only be used by VisitScotland to improve their digital services. They will not be shared wider than the project team.
