We’ll be running focused marketing activity for our new Business Support Programme from September to February.

We need your help to make sure all Scottish tourism businesses and event organisers know what support is available to them from VisitScotland.

You’ll find suggested content for your marketing channels and assets within our toolkit.

What is the Business Support Programme?

Our Business Support Programme supports the development of tourism and events businesses with free-to-access guidance.

We aim to help more businesses:

meet and exceed visitor expectations
embed responsible practices
understand and reach new markets
develop their workforce

We do this with a digital-first, evolving programme of activity that is based on industry data and insights. Collaboration with our partners is absolutely key for us to meet the needs of the industry.

What will our marketing activity include?

Starting in September, our email advice programme will split into three areas:

Improving your digital channels

Our digital channels programme will look at improving business’ website, social media channels, and ability to take online bookings, which is absolutely key for customers in all sectors.

Learning about travel distribution

For businesses who already have a great offering online, we’re offering a second option; to learn more about working with a travel distribution partner, such as a tour operator or destination management company to reach new audiences.

Delivering dynamic, resilient, and responsible events

We have a programme for our events sector with advice on workforce, funding, and event delivery.

Everyone who is signed up for our email newsletter will start receiving these advice emails from September onwards. We’ll also be sharing this advice across our social media channels.
