Safeguarding Scotland's assets

Our environment, society and culture is what sets us apart as a destination and why a visit here is so special. Our sustainability policy sets out the measures we take to protect and enhance them for future generations to enjoy. It recognises that these assets are vital to Scottish tourism.

We’re incredibly proud of what our country has to offer and aim to become a world-leader in sustainable tourism development.

It’s our goal to reduce the environmental impact and maximise the economic and social benefits of our own operations.

We are reducing our own carbon footprint to meet the Scottish Government’s net zero targets. We also work with partners and tourism and events businesses to support the visitor economy’s transition to net zero. This will build a better, more sustainable future for Scotland.
