About the Scottish Thistle Awards

For more than three decades, the Scottish Thistle Awards have recognised excellence across Scotland's tourism and events industry. Celebrating achievements by businesses, individuals and partnerships, the awards highlight the innovation, collaboration and commitment that help Scotland stand out as a visitor destination.

Delivered by VisitScotland in partnership with regional awards programmes, the awards programme consists of five regional competitions, culminating in a national final that crowns Scotland's tourism and events champions.

This year's categories recognise excellence across accommodation, food and drink, visitor experiences, community tourism, innovation, inclusion, sustainability and events, reflecting the breadth and diversity of Scotland's visitor economy.

Responsible tourism remains central to the awards, supporting Scotland's ambition to be recognised globally as a leading sustainable and inclusive destination.

Many previous winners have gone on to report increased visibility, new business opportunities and valuable recognition for their teams following success in the awards.

This year's Scottish Thistle Awards are supported by headline sponsor Abbey: The Destination Experts, alongside Fishers, AccessAble, The Scottish Sun, The Times Scotland, HIT Scotland, Historic Scotland, Jacobite Loch Ness Cruises, Get Your Guide and STV.
