Introducing Dr Andrew Tibbs...

The Unicorn Preservation Society (UPS), custodian of HMS Unicorn, Scotland's oldest ship in Dundee, and one of the oldest of its type in the world, has announced key changes to its leadership team.

Dr Andrew Tibbs has been appointed as Interim Chief Executive, taking over from Matthew Bellhouse Moran who is moving on from his role as Executive Director at this nationally significant maritime heritage organisation.

The appointment, comes at a crucial time as the organisation advances Project Safe Haven, an ambitious multi-million-pound initiative to secure HMS Unicorn's future.

Andrew Tibbs brings significant heritage sector experience to the role, having previously served as a UPS Trustee, and his appointment will further strengthen the delivery of Project Safe Haven.

Dr Tibbs will step back from his trustee duties during his tenure as Interim Chief Executive, thus ensuring full transparency and good governance practice.

You can read the full press release on the HMS Unicorn website.
