Autism Accreditation for Airhouses self catering
Airhouses self catering, in Lauder is the first holiday company in Scotland to have been recognised for providing an autism friendly service.
A press release from Airhouses, announced the luxury accommodation has been granted the Autism Friendly Award by The National Autistic Society, the UK’s leading charity for autistic people.
The award was given in recognition of the organisation's autism-friendly practices including:
- a comprehensive accessibility guide for autistic people
- proactive approach to customer services that meets the needs of the individual
- undergoing extensive training on autism
The Autism Friendly Award is a leading accreditation programme set up by The National Autistic Society to help businesses play their part to create more welcoming environments and make a difference to the lives of autistic people throughout the UK.
To gain the Autism Friendly Award, businesses must meet set standards and follow a framework to demonstrate to customers that their business offers an autism-friendly environment and service. So far 300 organisations have been accredited.
