Wanting as many people as possible to be able to use our websites and services, we're committed to make the information and resources we provide via the web accessible to all users.

Our digital asset management system is a third-party product, supplied by Canto. We include meeting the relevant accessibility regulations as a requirement when buying new third-party products.

This statement was last updated on 10 September 2025.

How accessible is our digital asset management system?

Canto’s web applications are currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. The following is a description of known limitations and solutions at the time of procurement.

  • Identify input purpose: Not all form fields in Canto have predefined taxonomy of definitions for purpose. Canto uses a custom set of field variable names that are not in full compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
  • Text and non-text contrast: Not all of Canto’s colours conform to a high enough contrast ratio to meet the needs of visually impaired users. Insufficient contrast can also occur when customers use custom brand colours instead of Canto’s default colours.
  • Reflow: When zooming beyond 200%, Canto is inconsistent with reflow practices from page to page.
  • Text spacing: Some text spacing makes it hard for visually impaired users to discern characters.

Canto state that their roadmap includes plans to implement a default colour scheme to ensure the library is accessible to all users and is WCAG 2.2 AA compliant. Going forward, we'll work with Canto to identify other areas where WCAG 2.2 AA compliance is not being met.
