Benefitting businesses and communities

Real-world examples

We spoke with tourism and events businesses from across the country to hear how the visitor economy is positively contributing to their local economy and community. Explore the wider impact of Scotland’s visitor economy, including how it supports wider supply chains, transforms towns and cities, supports our health and wellbeing, and helps Scotland achieve its journey to net zero.

Spotlight case study | The Enchanted Forest

The Enchanted Forest takes place each year in the heart of Perthshire. It’s a catalyst for positive change; a force for good. Through its Community Fund, proceeds generated from ticket sales are reinvested locally, with over £84,000 in grants awarded to charities and community groups across the region this year.

Grant recipient, Social Flock, is among the many locally supported projects. Based in Perth, the charity promotes inclusion and sustainability by providing clothing to those in need and reducing fast fashion.

Read the case study and find out how The Enchanted Forest supports both the local community and visitor economy.
