Making a splash in Angus
ANGUSalive has announced the development of a new aquapark at Monikie Country Park, set to launch at the beginning of May.
This exciting addition, the only one of its kind in Angus, promises to deliver visitors a thrilling experience on a giant inflatable feature in the country park’s north reservoir, installed by industry leading experts Watersports World, who have installed over 100 aquaparks in the UK.
In a fitting collaboration, local primary schools Monikie and Newbigging are playing a key role in this project by helping ANGUSalive name the aquapark. The pupils have also been invited to be one of the first users to experience it when it's ready.
In addition to providing an innovative recreational space that will benefit the local community and tourism in Angus, it will also build upon the current outdoor provision offered by ANGUSalive which people of all ages will benefit from in the county.
The project will create nine new jobs, three full time and six seasonal posts, with the posts now open for applications.
The new aquapark at Monikie Country Park adds to the already popular range of outdoor activities that ANGUSalive provide which includes kayaking, stand up paddleboarding and open water swimming.
The aquapark will provide an exciting activity for a wide range of participants and will also serve as an ideal venue for school trips, corporate team-building activities, and family fun.
