World No.10 Lauren Coughlin will return to defend her title at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open this summer.

The tournament heads back to Dundonald Links for a fourth consecutive year, taking place from 24 to 27 July.

The American won last year’s edition by four shots. This was after a stunning back nine that included three birdies, saw her single putt her last seven greens and sail to victory at Dundonald Links.

The triumph marked the second Tour victory of her career. This followed her breakthrough win at the CPKC Women’s Open just a month earlier, during her 103rd start on Tour.

A successful year

Since last year’s event, Coughlin made her debut on the U.S. Solheim Cup team. She impressed with three wins and a tie, remaining unbeaten throughout the competition.

So far this season she has earned three top 10 finishes including a runner up result at the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards in April and tied third at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro.

Additionally, she secured a top-20 result at the year's first major, The Chevron Championship, with a T18 finish.

I am super excited to return to Dundonald Links in the summer. Last year was a dream come true winning two tournaments within a couple months of each other after all my years on Tour. Scotland will always hold a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to get back to Dundonald and have a chance to defend my title.
