Promoting the Fife Coastal Path

We've launched our new spring marketing campaign in partnership with Welcome to Fife. The campaign promotes Fife as a short-break destination to adventure-seekers in the UK.

Towns and villages along the Fife Coastal Path feature within Wanderlust to inspire visitors to the area. Wanderlust is a top UK travel magazine.

The article entitled "The complete guide to the Fife Coastal Path" explores outdoor experiences, food and drink and where to stay.

The guide starts with mention of the Forth Bridges, Wemyss Caves, and the charming coastal villages leading to St Andrews, noted as the home of golf.

Activities cited include wild swimming and water activities. Outdoor tidal pools and beachside saunas are among some of the experiences highlighted.

Eateries included within the guide include The Ship Inn, East Pier Smokehouse and The Cheesy Toasty Shack to name a few.

Tourism businesses Ardross Farm Shop and Bowhouse are also highlighted for their fresh local produce. And, some places to stay include Off Grid Travel, Rufflets and Catchpenny.

Levenmouth Railway

This marketing campaign comes as Fife counts down to the opening of a new six-mile double-tracked line reconnecting Cameron Bridge and Leven to the railway network after a gap of 55 years.

Passenger trains are set to run from 2 June following the completion of the Scottish Government-funded £116 million Levenmouth Rail Link project.

The new line has the potential to support tourism growth in the area, by giving visitors additional ways to explore the region by sustainable transport.

Levenmouth 100 days to go sign

The Fife Coastal Path offers an incredible walking adventure with spectacular coastal scenery and great food and drink, and easily accessed by public transport. Our latest marketing campaign with Welcome to Fife forms part of our national tourism strategy to encourage visitors to explore our regions more sustainably.

We’re excited about the opening of the Levenmouth rail line. Not only will this improve transport links for the surrounding communities, but it will provide an opportunity for the development of new tourism experiences in the area.
