Glasgow Life has announced a new survey to gain industry input ahead of the launch of the city's new Tourism and Visitor strategy. 

Glasgow Life is working with industry and tourism partners including ourselves, Scottish Enterprise and Glasgow Airport to refresh the city’s current Tourism and Visitor Plan. 

Working with Toposophy, the aim is to have a new updated 2030 strategy accompanied by a two-year action plan. In addition, there will be governance recommendations which will be ready to launch by May 2023.

The strategic plan will be designed to put enhanced focus on sustainability, accessibility, and tourism’s key role in contributing to the city’s economic recovery. Glasgow Life are looking for the refresh to include: 

  • Sustainability, responsible tourism, and accessibility
  • Measurement, to shift away from volume/economic impact with greater focus on social and long-term value impact
  • Approach – Team Glasgow, increased industry participation
  • Glasgow City Region
