Technology solutions for visitor attractions and experiences in a post-COVID-19 Scotland
As part of a project initiated by DLP (Destination Leaders Programme), a small group of experienced tourism professionals have spent the last month looking at how different technologies can help visitor attractions and experiences in Scotland adapt and diversify in a post-COVID-19 world.
The result of this research is an interactive toolkit, designed to give attractions and experiences inspiration and ideas, as well as recommendations and solutions.
The toolkit has been created on a voluntary basis, by people in the industry, for the industry.
In addition to case studies to inspire you from across the world, the team have also compiled short, medium- and long-term solutions for attractions and experiences, to suit different budgets. It covers anything from online ticketing and social distancing, to moving content online and creating your own podcast.
Launched on 23 June, this toolkit will be rolled out throughout Scotland by the end of June, in a series of webinars and communications with key industry partners and associations. Alongside the webinars, an online demo has been produced to introduce you to the toolkit and demonstrate how to find the information you are looking for.
Should you wish to arrange a webinar with one of the team you can contact them on:

Next steps for the toolkit
As the current situation changes on a daily basis, the toolkit will be updated in future with more content, providing new solutions and excellent case study examples, making this the first edition.
Future plans include converting the Toolkit into an interactive web-based directory, and to include other sectors within tourism including events, accommodation, activities and outdoor etc. Please note that even though this version is directed at visitor attractions and experiences, many of the solutions are also suitable to other types of tourism businesses.
