Here are just some of the things you can expect when working as part of our team here at VisitScotland:

  • People first

Individual perspectives and fresh thinking are highly valued here. So, if you’ve got an effective new way of looking at what you do, we’ll do our best to encourage it. You’ll also find that we work in a highly collaborative way at every level of our structure. Whether you’re a Visitor Services Advisor in our network of iCentres, helping to devise new marketing campaigns, working to bring the biggest and best events to Scotland or making sure our computers work every day – your role is vital to our success and we can only be the best if we all work together.

You’ll get access to our Staff Support Groups which are safe places to connect, learn and share knowledge with other VS staff. Whether it’s our Parent’s group, Carer’s group, Inclusive Network Alliance, or our LGBTI+ group, our networks are here to support you.

Diversity and inclusion are key drivers for VisitScotland, we promote the ambition of “inclusion without exception”. Working for us you will not only learn more about what this means, but you'll also experience it!

  • Room to grow

You’ll also get to enjoy the benefits of our career development programme. We’re committed to investing in all the areas you might expect; leadership and soft skills for example. We always try to go above and beyond though, so we also offer mentoring programmes, professional qualifications, professional memberships, shadowing opportunities, external development opportunities, event outreach and the provision of online resources too.

  • Striking a balance

We also appreciate that you’ve got a life outside the office. That’s why we have excellent family friendly policies and flexible working arrangements to help our teams get the best of both worlds.

  • At the end of the day...

Everyone that works for us has the chance to be part of something that’s more than just a day job. If you’re looking for a place where you can go home knowing that you’ve made a difference – working for VisitScotland might be the best decision you ever make!
