New board members welcomed

The Scottish Tourist Guides Association (STGA) have welcomed the appointment of four new board members. 

Meet: 

The STGA is run by a volunteer board of directors. The new members, all accomplished professionals will help drive the STGA forward. Their passion for Scotland, experience and knowledge of the tourism industry will also help strengthen the board. 

The new board members will join Chairperson, Lyn Brown, Vice-Chair, Mariangla Du Chaliot, Aidan Bell, Bruce Cochran, and Alistair Hector.

The (STGA) is the leading body for qualified professional tourist guides in Scotland and has over 60 years’ experience in this field.

 

2023 Aberdeen and North East - Green Badge Course

Students who complete the Green Badge Training Programme qualify as tourist guides for the north east of Scotland.

This rewarding, varied and challenging career sees you meeting people from all over the world and from many different walks of life. This career would also suit those who would like to become a part-time or full-time tourist guide.

The course study area covers the north east of Scotland which includes Aberdeen and Environs, Moray, Angus, Dundee and Fife.

The programme will begin with interviews in September 2023 with study commencing in October 2023.

The programme ends with the STGA Tourist Guide Accreditation Examination which will be completed by April 2024.
