Event overview

On Thursday 27 January we welcomed almost 200 visitor attractions from across Scotland to our Visitor attraction best practice webinar.

At the webinar we heard from Angie Fowler, Quality Assurance Engagement Manager at VisitScotland who talked about our new visitor attraction best practice directory and discussed the importance of benchmarking and achieving best practice standards, using insights from our VisitScotland Quality Assurance (QA) Scheme.

We also heard from industry speaker Anne Kinnes, Chief Executive Director at The Black Watch Castle & Museum, who discussed how important it is to be outward-looking as an attraction and using benchmarking to monitor the success of your team and business.

Stuart Cassells, General Manager at The Macallan Distillery, also joined us to talk about reaching for a 5 Star Award and using QA scoring and feedback to focus on improvements and create a visitor experience that is consistent in quality across all areas of your business.
