We’re delighted that almost 200 people signed up to our recent industry webinar 'Marketing Scotland internationally', which took place on the morning of Wednesday 15 September.
During the webinar, hosted by Denise Hill, VisitScotland’s Head of Engagement, we heard from:
- Gwen Raez – Senior Market Development Manager, who shared details of our upcoming marketing campaign 'Scotland is Calling' designed to support the recovery of Scotland’s tourism industry, by keeping Scotland front of mind with high-spending international visitors. We’re aiming to make Scotland the first-choice destination when international travel is possible again – encouraging forward bookings for late 2021 through to 2022 and beyond – and delivering sustainable long-term growth.
- Lesley McIvor – Social Media Performance Manager, who discussed the important role our social media presence plays as part of this new campaign, and how businesses can make the most of their social media channels to join in with the Scotland is Calling conversation online.
- Patrick O'Shaughnessy – Industry Development Manager, who provided practical advice on why online booking is important. With the launch of this new campaign, we’re inspiring visitors to holiday in Scotland, when it's safe to do so, and we want to make sure your business can be found online.

Marketing Scotland internationally | industry webinar
Thanks to everyone who got involved and tuned in, we've made the presentations shared by Gwen, Lesley and Patrick on the webinar available for you to view in your own time.
Patrick offered businesses tuned into the webinar the opportinity to sign up for a digital review with VisitScotland. A digital review involves an assessment of your digital footprint, we'll check the basic things that need to be actioned in order for you to be discoverable online, and follow up with a report that one of our Industry Relationship Managers will talk you through.

As discussed as part of the webinar, VisitScotland would love to set up a Facebook relationship with your business page. Why? Well, it’s a way of sharing videos and images without having to upload a file.
