The Chief Executive's Office is a strategic support function for the organisation and consists of four departments:

Business Affairs
Led by Lynne Raeside, the Business Affairs Team is responsible for the organisation’s Government and Parliamentary activity; management of Board meetings, providing secretariat function for both the Board and the Audit and Risk Committee; management of the external profiles and programmes for the Chair and Chief Executive; management of compliance obligations in respect of Freedom of Information and Corporate Complaints; delivery of strategic planning; and management of international partnerships.

Corporate Communications
Led by Barbara Clark, our Corporate Communications department manages and protects VisitScotland's reputation with external stakeholders. Its principal activity is effective communications, from face to face to digital, with a wide range of external stakeholders, including the media and the tourism industry. The team ensures that tourism is seen as Scotland’s most important industry and promotes the work of VisitScotland. The team also engages and communicates with staff to support them in becoming ambassadors for Scottish tourism.

Human Resources 
Led by Lynn Jack, our Human Resources department ensures we have the skills and knowledge to manage our people and develop as an organisation. 

Led by Susan Dickie, the Insight Department’s activities include market research, trendspotting, statistical analysis, economic assessments, digital analytics and data analysis. Their aim is to support the growth of the visitor economy by informing and guiding the development of robust, forward-looking and measurable strategies, by sharing our knowledge and insight with colleagues, partners and businesses.
