Exciting new event for the Scottish Borders
A motoring event with a charitable mission celebrating Scotland and one of its greatest sportsmen will be held this summer. In June, Thirlestane Castle, nestled in the picturesque Scottish Borders, will host the Sir Jackie Stewart Classic – presented by Rolex.
The family-friendly automotive festival will showcase the career and achievements of three-time FIA Formula 1 drivers’ world champion, Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, alongside live motorsport action, sustainable motoring technology and an award-winning classic car show.
The event will be held in aid of Race Against Dementia; a global charity, founded by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, driven to raise money to fund breakthrough and innovative research to find a prevention or treatment for dementia. It is a disease which affects over 50 million people across the globe - including Sir Jackie’s beloved wife, Helen.
Visitors will be able to re-live the remarkable career of Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, with displays of his cars and memorabilia. And of course, Sir Jackie himself will be in attendance throughout, alongside other high-profile personalities from motorsport and beyond.
