Ticket sales are now live

After a two year break due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Highland Tourism Conference returns for 2022 and ticket sales are now live!

Delivered in partnership with the Highland Council, this pinnacle in-person event returns to Inverness on Tuesday 29 November 2022, at the Kingsmills Hotel. It starts at 9.30am (registration and coffee from 9am) and finishes up at 3.30pm.

This year's conference will provide inspiration and practical advice for tourism businesses across the Highlands, as the sector continues to recover from the significant impacts of the pandemic and further challenges ahead with the cost of doing business.

With responsible and sustainable tourism threaded throughout this conference, come along and hear from a range of tourism experts. They'll offer advice and insight into their sustainable journeys and success.

You'll also have the choice of an afternoon workshop to explore the many ways you can develop your business, reach customers, and implement responsible tourism practices.

Take a look at the conference website for the full agenda, with more speakers due to be announced in the coming weeks.

In the wake of the ongoing challenges faced by businesses, now is the perfect time to come together, learn from each other, and support your peers to make the most of the opportunities ahead.

With this in mind, we've fixed the ticket price at £25+VAT per person, this includes a delicious lunch, an inspiring line-up of speakers and a chance to network with industry peers and agencies across the region.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Workshops at Highland Tourism Conference

This year at Highland Tourism Conference, we're bringing you four different workshop sessions to choose from. These will all take place in the afternoon, and delegates are invited to choose one to attend as part of their ticket booking.

The four workshops will be:

  • Accessibility for tourism hosted by Antonia Lee-Bapty, Managing Director at Euan's Guide.
Antonia joins us to talk about the importance of disabled access information, what disabled visitors may be looking for and share top tips for making your venue more accessible.

Euan’s Guide is the award-winning disabled access charity. They’re best known for EuansGuide.com, the disabled access review website where disabled people, their families, friends and carers can find and share the accessibility of venues around the UK and beyond.

  • Digital De-carbonisation hosted by Rene Looper of Tuminds Social Media
Rene will share the latest trends, tools, tips and techniques that can "save time and energy and cut your operational costs" by optimising the digital processes in your organisation. Streamlining your digital platforms and reducing your storage will save energy and help with your net zero aspirations.

  • Enhancing your brand and advancing sustainable actions hosted by Green Tourism
Find out how your business can work towards becoming sustainable and reduce costs with advice and support from Green Tourism. This award certification programme is acknowledged worldwide and as part of this workshop hear about how you can make the most of funding available for first year membership.

  • Networking session
New connections, opportunities and ideas are guaranteed. Due to its popularity at our last Highland Tourism Conference, we’re bringing back a session to discuss new ideas, meet other businesses from throughout the Highlands and identify exciting new business connections.
