What is the Heritage Trade Up programme?

For the second year, The School of Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) in partnership with National Lottery Heritage Fund is running the Heritage Trade Up Programme to support and promote a stronger heritage sector. 

The fully funded programme is looking for leaders of heritage organisations which are charities or social enterprises. They should have responsibility for the trading activity and be able to shape it and make strategic decisions.

Through this free training, leaders can learn how to build and strengthen financial resilience and capability to get more funds. The programme also offers a £4,000 grant and the ability to network and learn with peers in a similar industry and situation. 

Programme details

  • The programme will be delivered across eight sessions between January and December 2023
  • The programme is fully funded, and SSE will offer a £4,000 Match Trading Grant for the organisations of programme participants if they have a profit of at least £4,000
  • The deadline to apply is 1pm on Friday 11 November 2022.
