Scottish Thistle Awards take home the trophy

And the winner is...

Last week (24 April), the spotlight was on our 30th Scottish Thistle Awards programme, which won Best Public Sector Award at the Scottish Event Awards in Edinburgh. 

The awards are Scotland's only awards evening dedicated to the events and festivals industries and shine a spotlight on the industry's best and brightest talent.

17 categories were up for grabs on the night with entries assessed by a panel of the industry's leading figures who have helped to shape the sector through their influence and expertise. 

Our events team attended the ceremony and were over the moon to pick up the award for the 30th anniversary of our own awards ceremony - the Scottish Thistle Awards - celebrating the best in Scotland's tourism and events industry.

The Scottish Thistle Awards

The Scottish Thistle Awards are an important celebration of the best of our tourism and events industry.

They recognise those businesses, events, and individuals who work hard to change, innovate, and adapt to create the warm destination and visitor experience that Scotland's famous for.

Entries for our 2025 programme close at 11:59pm tonight (28 April) so there's still time for businesses and events to enter and be in with the chance of being recognised as the best of the best in the industry.
