From 1-12 of November 2021, Glasgow is hosting the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26). In the year leading up to this, we're raising the question of what responsible and sustainable tourism means for Scotland in these turbulent times as we face the parallel threats of the COVID-19 pandemic and the climate crisis.

We’ll be publishing thought pieces from experts in different areas linked to responsible tourism whether climate change, social responsibility, inclusivity or sustainable development. These thought-provoking pieces will stimulate debate and conversation about important issues.

With the COVID-19 pandemic ongoing, businesses are facing devastating times. Much of Scotland’s tourism industry is seeking to rebuild and recover in a responsible way, so we want to open up the conversation around responsible tourism, encouraging businesses to think about what a responsible future might mean for them.
