On Tuesday 12 May we welcomed over 400 tourism businesses from across Scotland to tune in and hear from our Director of Industry & Destination Development, Riddell Graham, in the first webinar in our new series which looked at the recovery of tourism.

We're planning further webinars over the next few weeks to provide you with insight from our senior team into some of the issues and challenges we’re navigating during COVID-19.

Riddell chairs the Scottish Tourism Emergency Response Group, set up by VisitScotland, which includes representation from all the key economic agencies and the Scottish Tourism Alliance. The group is designed to look at the key issues facing tourism during this current crisis, give advice, support businesses and develop a collaborative recovery plan which maximises the joint skills and funding of all the agencies.

We teamed up with Bill McFarlan, Executive Chairman at Pink Elephant Communications, who hosted the hour-long session on the recovery of tourism which you can watch now.

You asked, we answered

We were overwhelmed with the amount of questions asked as part of the webinar and Riddell answered as many as he could in the time given.

We've pulled together a copy of all the questions asked, grouping together those on the same topics, and you can now view the answers to those questions. As part of the web chat a lot of great resources were shared with attendees and we've highlighted these for your information too.
