As you may already know following a tragic fire in 2015 at Ballater’s Old Station, which housed our Ballater iCentre, the re-constructed building Station re-opened to the public in August 2018 following a £3 million renovation project, led by Aberdeenshire Council.

The site was completely rebuilt using old plans and photography to ensure it remained true to the original Victorian station.

Our iCentre in Ballater is a hub for Deeside, Aberdeenshire and the wider region – including parts of Moray Speyside and the Cairngorms. We promote the wide range of visitor experiences that Scotland has to offer; from outdoor adventures, Snow Road and North East 250 routes, our wildlife, spectacular scenery and our castle, coastal and whisky trails.

In 2019, we welcomed 100,000 visitors and tourism business owners through our doors, and we’d love to work with you and offer a platform for industry to connect directly with our visitors. Showcasing your business in one of our iCentres is a great way to reach more visitors. Various advertising opportunities are available, including ticketing and leaflet racking.

Do you know that we can host local supplier events, promote your accommodation business, offer a range of ticketing services, and provide an onward booking service for visitors across Scotland?  Get to know your Ballater team and find out how we can work together to grow tourism in, around and beyond Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Keep an eye out

Throughout the year, we host events across our iCentre network which help promote local businesses, our in-house Shop Local retailers, and showcase the diversity of our regions to our visitors.
