Our Consumer PR team are a busy bunch – in quarter two of 2019 they generated over 660 pieces of media coverage showcasing the best of every corner of Scotland. Read on for details of some of the coverage highlights generated for the east of Scotland.

Dundee & Angus

Germany

Our Consumer PR team sent information to contacts in Germany, which resulted in an article in a regional newspaper Ludwigsburger Zeitung highlighting the top reasons to visit Dundee. 

France

Journalist Loic Tissot was invited to visit Dundee at the end of 2018, his article looks at Dundee becoming Scotland’s culture capital and the opening of the V&A Dundee.

US

In August 2019, TIME Magazine announced it's list of The World’s 100 Greatest Places 2019 which featured V&A Dundee and The Macallan Distillery. The list was collated based on nominations from editors and correspondents around the world as well as industry experts.

Our North America PR team have a long- standing relationship with the editors and contributors to TIME, and have been pitching stories around the launch of V&A Dundee. The V&A Dundee featured on the front page of this special edition, this nomination adds to the long list of global accolades Scotland has achieved this year alone.


 

China

We invited KOL (Key Opinion Leader) Shenwei to Scotland in March 2019 as our first piece of independent influencer activity with the Chinese market. Shenwei enjoyed the trip to Scotland and we’re continuing to see blog and vlog content come through including a blog about the V&A Dundee.

Scotland

A double-page spread ran in The Courier’s Weekend magazine with a fun piece focused on the growing trend on fairy themed activities across Scotland. This showcased Brechin Castle Centre’s new fairy trail, based in Angus.

The writer went out to visit the trail with some fairy fans we organised to meet her and be part of the photo shoot for the feature. These photos also appeared on the front page of the magazine. As well as highlighting Brechin Castle, fairy forklore spots across Scotland where also mentioned.
