Join Dr Xavier Font at this full day workshop which includes two modules:

Part 1 will help businesses understand how to make the most of their sustainability practices through better marketing and communications and focusing on how it can make their customer experience more complete.

Part 2 will look at designing and marketing low season tourism experiences. Low season experiences should not be exact replicas of summer experiences. Businesses need to find something unique about their low season, allowing them to package experiences that appeal to different markets and customers.

Dr Xavier Font is Professor of Sustainability Marketing at the University of Surrey, UK. He specialises in helping businesses to gain competitive advantage from using sustainable tourism as a tool for product development, marketing and communications. Xavier has run these courses internationally over 250 times for 5,000 accommodation and activity suppliers, tour operators, national parks and government agencies. Clients in 2022 include the United Nations Environment Programme, the national tourist boards of Germany, Spain and Slovenia, as well as and Expedia.

Please note the following:

Registrations are restricted to a maximum of two per business, as it is anticipated there will be high demand for this workshop.

Participants will be expected to attend the full day and the workshop will be delivered in person, there will be no online attendance option.

This event is aimed at tourism businesses within Edinburgh who operate on a B2C (business to consumer) or B2B (business to business) basis – unfortunately no place can be offered to intermediaries, consultants or suppliers of services.
