Visitor Information

Information and inspiration is critical at all stages of the customer journey. As well as providing information to visitors, we also deliver information to thousands of tourism businesses on a range of topics. We use different channels to reach these two customer groups.

Our visitors are in contact with us via visitscotland.com, (the national booking and information website), 14 regional websites and niche websites as well as direct mail, TV/cinema adverts, print adverts and e-newsletters.

We are also in contact with tourism businesses through our monthly enewsletter the eUpdate to share information on research, events, marketing campaigns and legislation. We work with tourism groups to develop joint initiatives.

Our network of over 100 VisitScotland Information Centres provides a valuable service to both visitors and businesses. They offer an accommodation booking service for visitors, together with tickets for travel or events.

But, most importantly, the information centres are a great source of information, both for personal recommendations and local expertise.
