Our tourist guides take tours on foot, by car, by coach, on trains, by boat, for you, your guests, your business partners at home or abroad, your conference delegates, your students or specialist groups, your incentive parties or your VIP delegations... anywhere in Scotland... visiting cities or towns, hills, glens, islands, lochs, forests or gardens,
galleries, exhibitions, brochs or stately homes, for shopping or attending festivals. The STGA sets the standard for quality tourist guiding
throughout Scotland. It is the only national Association for all categories of professional tourist guides, recognised by VisitScotland and other tourism agencies in Scotland,
Europe and the world.
The STGA accredits Blue Badge Members, Regional Affiliates and Site Affiliates at academic levels. Under its aegis, it maintains standards
of excellence through a Code of Conduct, Standards of Performance, skills updating, and full Public and Professional Liability insurance for all its self-employed Members and
Affiliates.
