There’s lots of help – much of it free of charge – to help you start a tourism business in Scotland. Business Gateway outlets are available across Scotland to help people run and set up businesses – just call 0845 609 6611 for your nearest outlet. There is also lots of information on the Business Gateway website The service is run by Scottish Enterprise with the support of local councils and other partners. The Gateway can help you with everything from writing a marketing plan, to securing funding and structuring your business. In addition, Scottish Enterprise offers specialist support for tourism businesses . A range of initiatives are available, including events and training and other guidance.
