Scotland is known worldwide as ‘the home of golf’. Visitors have been coming to Scotland for golf holidays for over 100 years and there are 550 courses, more per head of population than almost anywhere else in the world.

Visitors who enjoy golf like to be made to feel welcome when visiting other courses. They appreciate having lockable storage for their equipment; and flexible tee-off times.

These visitors have been considered by VisitScotland in our development of the Visiting Golfers Welcome scheme which recognises the special efforts made by golf clubs to provide for them, accommodating visiting golfers.
