Visitor Attractions Introduction What Is Assessed On The Visit All sectors will have ''core'' areas that will be assessed, where they exist. These include Pre-Arrival, Arrival, Catering, Retailing (when not main attraction) and Toilets; details of the criteria used are listed in the sections following. At all times, personal taste and style will not be taken into consideration. In addition, whilst recognising the wide range and diversity of the visitor attraction product in Scotland, during assessment recognition will be given to the nature and type of attraction or facility. Promotional literature / signing Items such as a promotional leaflet and appropriate directional road signs are not obligatory for membership of the Scheme, but it is highly recommended that these are in place and the absence of these will be reflected in any scoring. The following sections will be assessed on all visits, where applicable. Where elements such as catering and retailing do not exist, then these will not be included in the overall assessment and scoring. |
