The Scottish Thistle Awards were created to showcase business excellence and quality. There are 10 award categories this year, open to all types of tourism businesses: Business Leadership   Business Tourism Events and Festivals ( Regional and International) Extra Mile (small medium and large) Innovation Marketing Initiative Operator Programme of the Year Sustainable Tourism Taste of Scotland Young Tourism Entrepreneur

Entries for the 2009 Awards are now closed.

The finalists will be announced in August with the overall winners announced at the glittering Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Friday 23rd October.

2008 - The Winners

The winners were announced at the Awards Ceremony and gala dinner on Friday 24th October at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and published on the Scottish Thistle Awards site.

A supplement will have further details of the winners in the 2nd November edition of the Scotland on Sunday.
