How we market Taste Our Best

 

VisitScotland markets Taste Our Best to millions of potential customers each year.


We utilise both traditional (print, TV and radio) and online marketing, partnerships with major brands - such as BBC Good Food and Secret Escapes - and PR to target potential visitors who have an interest in local food and drink when on holiday.

 

Our spring 2014 marketing campaign allowed us to target over 1.7 million potential visitors with messaging about the Taste Our Best Quality Assurance scheme – showcasing Scotland’s amazing produce and the breadth of businesses where visitors can experience it.

A special partnership with Secret Escapes in 2015 also meant that we had the chance to showcase Taste Our Best to over 2.8 million people through their channels.

We targeted food bloggers and writers to help spread the word by taking them on a range of press trips where they could experience Taste Our Best accredited businesses, which resulted in some excellent coverage in print and online.

2016 Taste Our Best campaign

From 18 March 2016, our latest campaign is inspiring even more people to experience Scotland’s amazing local produce. The campaign is part of our new global brand showcasing the Spirit of Scotland, encouraging everyone that loves Scotland to share how they’ve experienced our inimitable spirit. 

Taste Our Best features in three national direct mail packs delivered to over 189,000 households across the UK.


A number of editorial pieces feature across major UK titles including the Daily Record, Sunday Mail, Liverpool Echo and Manchester Evening News, to a combined audience of over 3 million potential visitors.
