Asia Pacific, Middle East and African Events

VisitScotland targets a number of emerging markets that show considerable potential for growth, including China, India and the Middle East.

The outbound holiday markets in these countries are at an early stage of development, so their travel trade i.e. tour operators, travel agents, etc play a very important role. We work with them to ensure that Scotland is included in the choices offered to travellers. Attendance at an overseas event is an effective way to test the market, attract new customers, build on existing relationships and make sales.

Full country profiles have been compiled on Scotland’s main markets, providing tourism related facts and figures for each country.
