Social Media Training - Edinburgh

You’ll explore the size, scale and importance of social media, how it can work well and how to fix things when they go wrong. There will be lots of opportunity to discuss how you currently use social media and give you a chance to step back and really examine the best platforms to work with.

The course will cover:

• What is social media?

• How can you use social media to engage with people

• What to include in a social media strategy

• How to enhance your marketing with social media

• Creating a social media policy

• Assessing risks & opportunities

• Creating an ‘action capture sheet’ to start you on your new social media journey.

The day includes plenty of group work, exercises and discussion – you definitely won’t be staring at a PowerPoint all day. You’ll also be given lots of opportunities to discuss your own experiences and develop personal strategies to aid your work.

This course is designed for both experienced and novice social media users. Whether you’re just about to launch a social media strategy or you want to add new skills you’ll find this course useful.

What this course won’t include is how to create different kinds of social media accounts, but we will discuss which networks are the ones that might be best suited to your needs. (We’ll also direct you to the best online instructions and films if you’ve not yet created Twitter/Facebook/Instagram/etc accounts).

Tailored courses can be arranged for groups at a date and location to suit you. Prices include a hot Mediterranean buffet lunch, Fair Trade refreshments and networking time.
