We have created a  range of marketing tools designed to help you capitalise on the tourism opportunities created through the Year of Young People:

We have a selection of free-to-use imagery which you are welcome to use to help promote Scotland as a destination for visitors interested in the themes of the year.
 
You must first register for an account on our Digital Media Library. Registering is free, quick and easy and requests are usually approved within 24 hours.
 
Once your account has been approved you will be able to download up to 30 images per month for free. You can easily access relevant imagery through a dedicated Year of Young People image toolkit. This collection will be updated throughout 2018.

In 2018, Scotland puts its young people in the spotlight, celebrating their talents, contributions and creating new opportunities for them to shine. The Year of Young People 2018 is a year-long programme of events and activities that will give young people in Scotland the opportunity to show the world what they are made of.

100 words

Scotland’s first ever Year of Young People is happening in 2018. It aims to inspire all ages through its young people (8-26) by celebrating their achievements, valuing their contributions to communities and creating new opportunities for them to shine on a local and global stage. The Year of Young People 2018 will offer even more opportunities for both locals and visitors to enjoy a trip to, and around Scotland. From adrenaline filled adventure breaks and breath-taking road trips, to a range of exciting events and festivals, Scotland offers endless things to see and do during the celebratory year.

200 words

Scotland’s first ever Year of Young People is happening in 2018. It aims to inspire all ages through its young people (8-26) by celebrating their achievements, valuing their contributions to communities and creating new opportunities for them to shine on a local and global stage. 2018 builds on the success of Scotland’s previous Themed Years which have celebrated everything from the country’s food and drink, natural landscapes innovation, architecture and design through to its history, heritage and creativity.

 

The Year of Young People 2018 will offer even more opportunities for both locals and visitors to enjoy a trip to, and around Scotland. From adventure breaks to road trips, camping holidays to family-friendly days out, there is a range of fantastic things to see and do for young people and their families to enjoy. A year-long programme of events and activities will also give young people in Scotland the opportunity to show the world what they are made of. 

 

Year of Young People 2018 is led by the Scottish Government, working in collaboration with the core group of delivery partners including VisitScotland, EventScotland, Young Scot, Children in Scotland, Scottish Youth Parliament, Creative Scotland and YouthLink Scotland.
