How to get involved

Tips and suggestions for you to consider

Create a special product or package

Why not create or re-package a tour or product around the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design?

If you are a castle could there be a tour that focuses on architecture and design. If you are a whisky distillery could the focus of your tour be on innovation?

If you provide food and drink, create a new dish for 2016 – something innovative, with your own design. Promote it to your guests as a celebratory dish for the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design.

Promote the year on your website

Use the promotional wording provided and add it to your website or other marketing material. Download the official 2016 logo and use the free to use imagery to inspire visitors to visit Scotland in 2016.

Make it personal When your visitors arrive, give them the personal touch and make the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design relevant to your business and local area.

Maybe you could provide a themed welcome basket that is based on innovative local brands.

In your bedroom welcome folder you could add a page that explains the year and talk about the inspiration it has brought to your home – when was the building built, who by, the art in some of your rooms, the design of your garden etc.
