About Us

Procurement

Procurement and its disciplines are at the heart of the way that we run much of our day to day business, and are an integral part of resource and budget management.

It is normal practice to award business through competition which helps to promote economy and supports the key elements of Government procurement policy.

Additionally, international obligations require compliance with the European Union Procurement Directives and the World Trade Organisation Government Procurement Agreement.

VisitScotland are a signatory to the Scottish Government Suppliers’ Charter.

In pursuit of our aims to achieve Value for Money, provide support to the business community and promote fair competition at all times, VisitScotland now publicly advertises many of its procurement requirements.

VisitScotland advertise tenders on the national advertising portal – Public Contracts ( Scotland ) – which has been established and can be accessed using the following link: www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk

Tender exceeding the EC Public Procurement Directive thresholds are also advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). The OJEU advertisements place through Tenders Electronic daily (TED).
